ISLAMABAD: Mohammad Shoaib and Sarah Mehboob have won the men’s and women’s singles titles of the 8th Benazir Bhutto National Tennis Championship, as Mohammad Shoaib got rid of Muzammil Murtaza and Sarah Mehboob thrashed Esha Javed in the finals here at Islamabad Tennis Complex on Sunday.
In the men’s singles, Mohammad Shoaib toiled hard to overcome his opponent Muzammil Murtaza after a well-contested three sets final. The final score-line was 7-5, 1-6, and 6-4.
Earlier, in the women’s final, experienced Sarah Mehbood outclassed Esha in straight sets, conceding only a single game during the two sets.
