Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotic Force Seizes Drugs, Arrests Accused in Countrywide Operation

RAWALPINDI: Officials said that Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized 58.5 kilograms of ketamine and over 4.2 kg of drugs during three separate operations in different parts of the country.

A spokesperson of the country’s anti-narcotic force said on Saturday that the ANF Lahore chapter has raided a gang allegedly involved in drug production and smuggling. It claimed that a private pharmaceutical company in Lahore was also involved in drug manufacturing and smuggling. The officials said that the owner of the company was arrested along with other gang associates during the raid.

The officials said that 50 kilograms of ketamine and two vehicles were also recovered during the operation.

ANF seizes drugs

Meanwhile, in another operation, ANF and ASF recovered 726 grams of Ice from the trolley bag of a passenger at Islamabad International Airport from a resident of Kohistan, who was traveling to Bahrain on flight no GF-771.

In the third operation, ANF conducted a raid at Karachi International Airport Cargo and seized 8.5 kg ketamine, 3 kg heroin and 1.2 kilograms of Ice drug from leather jackets being sent to New Zealand and London.

The spokesperson from the ANF headquarter said that cases have been registered against all the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act with further investigations to follow.
