RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Commerce Majid Al-Kassabi has met with 10 ministers and top officials of international companies and representatives on the sidelines of the eighth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
During the event, Al-Kassabi held bilateral meetings with Sweden’s Minister for International Development, Cooperation, and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa, British Minister for Trade Policy and Economic Security Douglas Alexander, Nigerian Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment Doris Uzoka-Anite, and Ole Hansen and Anita Lebiar from the United Nations Global Compact.
During the meetings, the minister discussed means of boosting partnerships and bolstering economic collaboration.
The commerce minister also met with BMW AG chairman of the board of management Oliver Zipse, Barclays Bank Group chief executive C.S. Venkatakrishnan, ODDO BHF managing partner Philippe Oddo, Hilton president and chief executive Christopher Nassetta, Amazon MENA vice president Ronaldo Mouchawar and London Stock Exchange chief executive Julia Hoggett.
The meetings with the companies’ top officials and representatives addressed the opportunities presented by economic reforms in Saudi Arabia and ways to develop and utilize them.
