KARACHI: An initial report over the recent blast near Karachi’s Jinna International Airport has indicated that the attack was executed with the help of a foreign intelligence agency, local media reported on Saturday.
The Express Tribune reported that the report, submitted by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) to the anti-terrorism court, said that the attack targeted Chinese engineers as part of a conspiracy to damage Pakistan-China ties. The report has identified the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) as being involved in the attack.

The blast occurred near the exit signal at Jinnah International Terminal, right in front of the CAA guardroom. Upon hearing the explosion, police personnel arrived at the scene and found wounded individuals. Local media reported that 3 people, including two Chinese citizens lost their lives in the incident.
Reports said that a case has been filed at the Airport police station under the supervision of the station house officer.
