ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has ensured every possible facilitative measure at all five border crossing points with Afghanistan to ensure the smooth processing of Afghan people, despite a huge inflow of over 385,000 people monthly.
Currently, Pakistan has five border crossing points operational with Afghanistan, which include Kharlachi, Angoor Ada, Chaman, Torkham, and Ghulam Khan.
Afghan nationals, trade convoys use border crossing in Pakistan
Some 13,000 people cross from and to Afghanistan through these border crossing points that include patients, pedestrians, traders, transporters, and tourists. Some 385,000 Afghan nationals every month travel through the crossing point in addition to hundreds of trade convoys.
Despite a limited workforce and resources, Pak is manning over 100 counters at the border crossing points to ensure the smooth processing of the inflow of cross-border movement at Pak-Afghan border crossings.
