ISLAMABAD: In celebration of Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day, a grand Independence Night Parade will be held tonight at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul. The parade will showcase the discipline and skill of the academy’s cadets while honouring the nation’s history and the sacrifices made by its martyrs.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir will grace the ceremony as the chief guest. The parade will feature an impressive display of drill skills by the PMA cadets, reflecting their rigorous training and dedication.
A special segment of the parade will pay tribute to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom and security.
As the nation prepares to mark its Independence Day tomorrow, the celebrations will begin with a thirty-one gun salute in Islamabad and a twenty-one gun salute at provincial headquarters. This traditional display of honour will set the tone for a day of patriotic fervour and national pride.
In keeping with the spirit of the Pakistan Movement, the day will be observed with special prayers at dawn in mosques across the country. Special prayers will be offered for peace, solidarity and prosperity of the country.
The main feature of the Independence Day celebrations will be the national flag hoisting ceremony in Islamabad. This event will be mirrored by similar ceremonies at provincial, divisional, and district headquarters throughout the country, emphasizing unity and national pride.
