WASHINGTON: Former US President Donald Trump and Republican nominee on Thursday, a day before meeting Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu, called for a quick end to the war in Gaza.

Donald Trump, in an interview with Fox News on Thursday, said that Israel has to better manage its “public relations”.

Netanyahu, is currently in the U.S. for meetings with President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, seeking to renew Congressional support for Israel’s military actions in Gaza. The visit comes at a pivotal moment as Harris enters the 2024 presidential race following Biden’s withdrawal.

During the interview, Trump said Tesla CEO (TSLA.O), Elon Musk never told him that he planned to give $45 million for his election campaign.

“I disagree with the electric cars for everybody,” Trump told Fox News in an interview. “You want to have a choice, and that includes electric.”  Musk, who endorsed Trump, earlier this week said he did not commit $45 million to Trump.

Donald Trump has started a volley of assaults against US Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her a “radical left lunatic” in his first election rally since she became the Democratic Party nominee for November’s presidential race.

In a speech claiming Harris was in favor of the “execution” of babies due to her position on abortions, the Republican nominee said: “She is a radical left lunatic who will destroy our nation.”

However, Trump insisted that they are not going to let that happen. Donald Trump’s speech comes as Harris hits the campaign trail armed with Biden’s endorsement — after his historic decision over the weekend not to seek re-election.

Trump also repeatedly attacked President Biden over his age but has been forced to pivot as he has now become the oldest candidate in the history of the United States. The former President called Harris “the ultra-liberal force behind every single Biden catastrophe.
