CAIRO: Israeli troops pounded areas in central Gaza on Wednesday, killing around nine Palestinian people, Gaza health officials said, while Israeli tanks carried out a limited advance further into Rafah in the south, western and local media reported.
In one Israeli air attack around midnight on a home in Al-Zawyda in the Gaza, 8 people were killed, the health officials stated. Another attack killed a person in Nuseirat camp, one of Gaza’s eight refugee camps, where around twenty-three people were killed in an Israeli air attack on a school a day ago.
Health workers said an Israeli attack killed two people in Rafah on Wednesday, while the locals said the forces had also blown up dozens of houses.
Gaza Health Ministry said that about 38,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s brutal offensive since October 7, Gaza health authorities said.
On January 26, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) stated that it found it “plausible” that Israel carried out actions that violate the Genocide Convention. The ICJ had ordered Israel to stop acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip.
