SCOW: A Russian regional airliner crashed in a wooded area near Moscow on Friday, killing all three crew members on board, reported by Russian news agencies.
The aircraft, a Russian-built Superjet 100, was conducting a test flight following scheduled maintenance. It crashed approximately one hour after departure, according to TASS news agency.
“Emergency services have indicated that all three pilots aboard the aircraft have tragically lost their lives,” stated the agency.
The flight was enroute to Moscow’s Vnukovo airport, as confirmed by state media sources.
