MUZAFFARABAD: The Shuhada Foundation of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday observed the 8th martyrdom anniversary of popular young leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani and his associates with a call for the continued struggle of Kashmiris until the liberation of the IIOJK.
The event held in Muzaffarabad saw a significant gathering where attendees paid heartfelt tributes to the martyrs, highlighting their pivotal role in the freedom struggle of Kashmir.
Speakers at the ceremony praised Burhan Wani for his unwavering commitment to the Kashmiris’ noble cause and stressed the profound impact of his martyrdom in galvanizing Kashmiri youth against Indian subjugation.
They strongly criticized India’s stubbornness and its militaristic policies, adding that these have reinforced the necessity of armed resistance over diplomatic negotiations in resolving the decades-long dispute of Kashmir.
They called upon Pakistan to continue with its steadfast support of the Kashmiri struggle against the Indian occupation. They asserted that Burhan Wani’s path remains the path to freedom, resonating deeply with the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.
The speakers also condemned the oppressive tactics of India and highlighted recent incidents, including the martyrdom of six youths in Kulgam, as reminders of Kashmiris’ unwavering determination and resolve.
The speakers vowed to protect these sacrifices and enhance efforts to achieve the martyrs’ mission of liberating Kashmir from Indian occupation. They said that the Kashmiri people stand united in their struggle against Indian occupation and called for the urgent need for unwavering support to them.
Prominent leaders who addressed the gathering included Amir Jamaat-e-Islami AJK Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan, Deputy Amir JeI AJK Advocate Sheikh Aqeel ur Rehman, APHC-AJK leader Zahid Safi, leader of Pasban-e-Hurriyat head Uzair Gazali, People’s Party AJK leader Shaukat Javaid Mir, Shamshir Khan, Mushtaq-ul-Islam and Aamir Jameel.
It is pertinent to mention that Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and elsewhere in the world observed the 8th martyrdom anniversary of young freedom fighter Burhan Muzaffar Wani on Monday with the renewed pledge to continue the mission of martyrs.
