SRINAGAR: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and around the world are observing the eighth martyrdom anniversary of young freedom fighter Burhan Muzaffar Wani today (Monday) with the renewed pledge to continue the mission of the martyrs.
Illegally detained Chairman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Masarat Alam Butt, has paid tribute to Shaheed Burhan Wani and his associates on this significant day. From Tihar Jail, he urged Kashmiris to organize protest rallies, seminars, and other programs to honor Burhan Wani and his companions, who ignited the flame of Kashmir’s freedom movement with their blood.
The APHC Chairman emphasized that Burhan Wani was a symbol of fear for imperialist India and a role model for the people of Kashmir, particularly the youth, as he sacrificed his life for the Kashmir cause.
In Azad Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Commission, Pasban-e-Hurriyat, and other Hurriyat organizations will lead protest rallies in all districts. In Muzaffarabad, a protest rally will start from Burhan Muzaffar Wani Chowk.
