KARACHI: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter will organize a rally in Karachi on July 8 to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani, a prominent youth leader and freedom from Kashmir.

Burhan Wani, along with two associates, was tragically martyred by Indian troops in a staged encounter in the Kokernag area of Islamabad district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on July 8, 2016, sparking widespread outrage and protests in the region.

A delegation of APHC-AJK, led by General Secretary Parvaiz Ahmad Shah, has arrived in Karachi to oversee the arrangements for the rally. The delegation includes prominent leaders Syed Ejaz Rahmani, Raja Khadim Hussain, Chaudhry Shaheen, and Imtiaz Ahmed Wani.

Meanwhile, APHC-AJK has also paid heartfelt tributes to Burhan Wani and his comrades on the solemn occasion of their martyrdom anniversary. Senior leader Muhammad Farooq Rahmani, in a statement to the Kashmir Media Service, emphasized that Burhan Wani’s sacrifice symbolizes Kashmir’s enduring struggle for freedom. He highlighted that the international community’s attention to the Kashmir dispute is a direct consequence of the unparalleled sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people.

Rahmani reiterated the Kashmiri people’s resolute rejection of India’s unjust occupation and asserted that a lasting resolution to the Kashmir conflict can only be achieved through sincere tripartite dialogue between Pakistan, India, and the legitimate representatives of the Kashmiri people.

A large number of people from all walks of life will attend the rally in Karachi to support the Kashmiri cause. The rally aims to raise awareness about the ongoing plight of the Kashmiri people under Indian occupation and to renew the call for justice and freedom in the region.
