RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army’s top brass carried out a comprehensive review of internal and external security situation of the country and had detailed discussion on various aspects of “Azm-e-Istehkam”.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir chaired the 265th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at the General Headquarters on Friday.
The statement stated that operation Azm-e-Istehkam aimed at synchronizing national counter-terrorism efforts to dismantle the nexus of terrorism and illegal activities for enduring stability and economic prosperity.
The forum noted with concern the unwarranted criticism from some quarters and deliberate misrepresentation of the vision for their vested interests.
Furthermore, the forum deliberated on the regional security situation, especially in Afghanistan, and reaffirmed its commitment to regional peace and security.
The forum expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir and Palestine, condemning serious human rights violations, war crimes, and genocide in both regions.
Furthermore, the forum affirmed that the military leadership is fully aware of the spectrum of challenges and resolved to fulfill its constitutionally mandated responsibilities with the support of the resilient people of Pakistan.
The forum highlighted the onslaught of politically motivated digital terrorism by conspirators, abetted by foreign cohorts against state institutions, aiming to induce despondency and sow discord through lies, fake news, and propaganda. However, the Armed Forces, along with the nation, remain united and committed to defeating these designs.
The forum reiterated its full support for ongoing efforts to uplift socioeconomic growth and assist the government in curbing illegal activities that undermine investor confidence, economic stability, and growth.
Expressing full satisfaction with the Army’s commitment to national security, the COAS stressed the importance of maintaining high standards of professionalism and operational preparedness.
The COAS remarked that the Pakistan Army is always prepared to overcome internal and external challenges and contribute to the stability and prosperity of Pakistan.
The forum paid rich tribute to the supreme sacrifices of the Shuhadas of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and citizens who have laid down their lives for peace and stability in the country.
