KYIV: Russian missiles killed two people in the southern region of Zaporizhzhia on Monday, Ukrainian officials said as authorities in several other regions urged residents to keep inside shelters from more missile attacks from Russia.
Russian strikes have destroyed nearly half of the energy sector in Ukraine and people are facing sporadic power blackouts.
Russian Strikes injures 3 People
Oleksandr Starukh, the head of the Zaporizhzhia region, said that Russian missile strikes on the village of Novosofiivka in the Zaporizhzhia district injures and damaged several houses.
A separate statement from the Ukrainian presidency said that three people were injured in the Russian attack. AFP journalists in the region saw power outages. –APP/AFP
