LAHORE: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has alerted students and parents to avoid taking admission to the two-year BA, BSc and MA, MSc degree programs.
The HEC had phased out the two-year BA, BSc and MA, MSc programs, with deadlines of the academic years 2019 and June 30, 2022.
Despite the gradual phasing out of these two-year degree programs, some of the higher education institutions gave admissions to these programs after the deadlines. The HEC has clearly warned the students, parents as well as higher education institutions that the degrees from such programs would not be recognized and verified by it.
As per the law, the HEC has the authority to set conditions for the operation of higher education institutions, including those not affiliated with the state educational system.
