CAIRO: The Palestine Committee of the Arab Parliament on Wednesday held a meeting to discuss the continuing Israeli violations targeting natural resources and marine areas of Palestine, amidst the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The meeting under the leadership of the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi, reviewed the latest developments in the Palestinian territory, shed light on the systematic Israeli actions aimed at damaging the Palestinian cause.
The committee urged the international community to adopt a unified stance different from the regrettable silence about the escalating brutal attacks carried out by the occupying forces in Gaza.
Furthermore, the committee warned about the terrible consequences of this humanitarian crisis, including the imminent risks of famine and the collapse of Gaza healthcare system.
The committee completely rejected any attempts to forcibly displace the Palestinian state, which is illegal under international law.
The committee approved a draft resolution on the Palestine situation, which will be presented during the upcoming session of the Arab Parliament scheduled to be held on Saturday.
