LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz has allowed her helicopter to be used for emergency patients in remote parts of the province, local media reported on Friday.
According to local media, chairing a meeting of Air Ambulance Project in Lahore, the Chief Minister said that during her visit to Sargodha Hospital, she was saddened to see a heart attack patient’s helplessness to receive timely medical assistance.
She granted permission to use her official helicopter for the emergency transfer of patients from remote parts of the province. The Chief Minister said that people lose their precious lives due to the failure to reach hospitals on time.
She further said the Rescue 1122 service will also be initiated on the motorway to shift the affected people to hospitals in case of emergencies.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that soon Punjab will start an air ambulance service.
