Pakistan Envoy Presents Credentials to Cabo Verde President

MINDELO: Pakistan Ambassador Saima Maymunah Sayed on Friday officially presented her diplomatic credentials to President Jose Maria Neves of Cabo Verde at the Palais Présidentiel in Mindelo.

During the meeting, they discussed various means of enhancing bilateral relations, trade engagement, pending agreements, and initiatives for the training of Cabo Verdean diplomats, the press release issued by the embassy read.

During her visit to Mindelo, the ambassador also convened a meeting at the Northern Chamber of Commerce, focusing on fortifying the connections established following Cabo Verde’s participation in the 2nd Pakistan Africa Trade Development Conference in 2021.

In a separate event, Ambassador Javed Umrani of Pakistan in Tunisia engaged with Fayçal Gouia, the Director General of the International Diplomatic Academy of Tunisia.

Their discussions centered on collaborative efforts such as diplomatic exchange programs, sharing of best practices, and joint research endeavors between the diplomatic academies of both countries, aiming to bolster diplomatic ties.
