Gold Price up by Rs 1,100 to Close at Rs 214,300 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After an increase of Rs over 2000 during the last two working days, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold witnessed a further increase and went up by Rs 1,100 to settle at Rs 214,300 on Monday compared to Rs 213,200 per tola last Saturday. 

Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the rates for the 10 grams of 24 karats of the yellow metal also went up by Rs 943 to settle at Rs 183,728 from the previous day’s price of Rs 182,785 whereas the Price of 10 grams of the 22 karats of gold increased up to Rs 168,417 from the Saturday’s Price of Rs 167,553.

However, the Price per tola and ten grams of the white plate (silver) remained constant at Rs 2,550 and Rs 2,186.21, respectively.

Gold Price in International Market

Like the local bullion market, the rates for the precious metal in the international market observed continuous increase for the last couple of days and went up by $8 on Monday to settle at $2,042 per ounce from its previous day’s stand of $.2,034 per ounce.

After a significant decline of over $35 in the first and 2nd week of February, the Price of gold in the international market went up by over $20 per ounce during the last few days. The Price of gold in the local market is mostly affected by the Price in the international market.
