KSrelief Successfully Conducts Medical Project in Turkey

REYHANLI, Türkiye: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully concluded a medical project in Türkiye’s Reyhanli, focusing on prosthetics, physical therapy, orthopedics, and neurology, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

According to the SPA, a team of 35 volunteers with medical specialties provided services to beneficiaries during the project, from January 1 to 8.

The initiative was part of the Saudi volunteer life program, to assist those affected by the earthquakes in Syria and Türkiye.

The medical volunteers conducted examinations of 300 individuals and performed 38 orthopedic surgeries.

They also carried out 10 neurological surgeries. Additionally, the project facilitated the measurement, installation, and maintenance of 50 prosthetic limbs.

A total of 150 physical-therapy sessions and medical consultation were given, and 25 individuals received training in the area of physical therapy.

Notably, the services as part of the KSrelief’s volunteer projects represent a new addition to meet the humanitarian needs in the area.

The project is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to hold volunteer medical projects through KSrelief, supporting nations in need or facing dire circumstances worldwide.
