ISLAMABAD: Bronze winner in the Asian Games, Pakistani shooter Kishmala Talat has successfully qualified for the upcoming Paris Olympics in shooting competitions, a private television channel reported on Monday.
Kishmala won the bronze medal in the Asian Games in 2022. Recently, she displayed a splendid performance in the Shooting Championship for women’s 10-meter air pistol in Jakarta to grab a spot in the Paris Olympics 2024
Kishmala scored 575 points in the initial round to grab a place in the finals. She also performed well in the final round while giving a tough time to her Indian rival, Esha Singh. However, Esha managed to grab the gold medal. Kishmala won the silver medal and a quota spot in the Paris Olympics 2024.
Kishmala Talat to Perform in Paris Olympics 2024
Talking about her achievement, the secretary of the Pakistan Shooting Federation, Razi Ahmed Khan, stated that she has successfully secured a place in the Paris Olympics 2024. After confirming her spot, Kishmala became the third Pakistani shooter to qualify for the Olympics after Gulfam Joseph and GM Bashir.
Besides, Olympian Arshad Nadeem has also confirmed his place in the Paris Olympics in athletics along with equestrian athlete Usman Khan. Arshad Nadeem was the first Pakistani to qualify for any field event and track at the Olympic Games.
