KSrelief Distributes 1,000 Food Baskets to Earthquake Hit People in Afghanistan

RIYADH: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has distributed 1,000 food baskets to the families affected by the recent earthquake in Ghurian district of Herat province, Afghanistan, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.

According to the SPA, the aid benefited about 6,000 people. It is part of the humanitarian and relief assistance provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, to peoples in need around the globe.

Meanwhile, the KSrelief also distributed 1,000 cartons of dates to families facing dire circumstances in Abeche city of Ouaddaï region, Chad, the SPA maintained.

As part of the ongoing project to distribute 300 tons of dates in the African state, the assistance package reached a total of 6,000 people in Abeche city.

Similarly, the KSrelief provided 1,162 cartons of dates to displaced families and those facing difficult situation in Sudan.

The SPA said that as part of the ongoing date distribution project in Sudan, the recent assistance program benefited a total of 5,672 individuals residing in the Al Jazirah state.

The help comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief projects provided by Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief center, for vulnerable and needy segments across the world.
