Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan discuss Gaza Situation with Crown Prince of Kuwait

RIYADH: Interim Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar today met with H.H. Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Summit of Arab Islam in Riyadh.

The leaders discussed the ongoing conflict in occupied Palestine and expressed their deep concern over the alarming situation in Gaza with the staggering death toll and widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure amid continued Israeli aggression and siege. They stressed the urgency of a ceasefire, an end to the siege and the provision of much-needed humanitarian aid to the besieged people of Gaza.

Pakistan

The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s longstanding principled stand on the Palestinian cause of liberation from illegal Israeli occupation. He also emphasized that Pakistan consistently supports the two-state solution in accordance with relevant UN and OIC resolutions.

The two leaders also discussed bilateral relations, especially in the economic and investment fields. The Prime Minister informed the Crown Prince of Kuwait about SIFC and invited Kuwait to look at investment opportunities in Pakistan. The crown prince promised to pass the news on to the relevant authorities in Kuwait. He also appreciated the role of the Pakistani diaspora in the development of Kuwait.
