RIYADH: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar called on Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on the sidelines of the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh on Saturday.

They discussed the current situation arising from the Israeli occupation forces’ aggression against Palestinians in both Gaza and the West Bank.

Prime Minister Kakar expressed gratitude for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s role and efforts, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, in advancing the Palestinian cause. He extended thanks to the Saudi leadership for the timely initiative to convene the Summit, aiming to coordinate Joint Arab-Islamic Action in response to the worsening situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Urge for End to Israel’s Aggression

Both leaders stressed the urgent need for international collaboration to halt Israel’s brutal and indiscriminate aggression against the besieged and innocent Palestinians. They also emphasized the immediate necessity of lifting the blockade of Occupied Gaza to facilitate the delivery of vital humanitarian aid and medical assistance to the affected population.

The premier condemned Israeli actions, including the bombing of hospitals, refugee camps, schools, and residential buildings, resulting in the loss of more than 10 thousand innocent Palestinians. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to a just and lasting resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This commitment is based on the two-state solution, leading to the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and viable Palestinian state with borders as they existed prior to June 1967, and with AlQuds Alsharif as its capital.

The two leaders also exchanged views on bilateral matters and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the longstanding Pakistan-Saudi relations for a mutually beneficial economic partnership.
