Pakistan’s Heritage Minister, Chinese Envoy Discuss Strengthening Cultural Ties

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Ambassador Mr Jiang Zaidong and Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Jamal Shah underscored boosting of Pak-China cultural ties to bring the two friendly sides further closer. Both the dignitaries discussed mutual issues in a meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday.

During the meeting, they highlighted enhancing mutual engagements, exchange opportunities, and cooperation in Heritage, Art, Culture, Education, and capacity building. They also discussed the promotion of the game of football in Pakistan with a particular focus on Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The meeting also highlighted the second China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Cultural Caravan 2024, digitizing and 3D scanning of Archaeological sites and artifacts, and innovation in the IT sector.

Promoting Mutual Cultural Ties

Meanwhile, Federal Minister Jamal Shah said that Pakistan and China should collaborate in all fields of art and cultural heritage to exploit the tremendous scope, adding that it will further strengthen people-to-people ties between the two friendly countries.

The minister also apprised the ambassador about his recent visit to China, followed by several meetings with the officials of cultural departments and Museums of China.
