Pak Rupee sheds Rs0.78 Further Against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: After witnessing an upward trend for 28 consecutive sessions in September and October, the Pakistan Rupee experienced the downward trend for the last nine consecutive session as on Thursday the local currency depreciated further by Rs0.78 against US Dollar in the interbank trading and closed at Rs 283.43 as compared to Rs 282.65 last day, reported by State Bank of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the Dollar in the open market also witnessed a change and were traded in the range of Rs 282.25 and Rs 285 against the previous day level of Rs280.5 and Rs283.5 respectively.

Pak Rupee Against Euro, Pound, Riyal and Others

Like the greenback, the price of the Euro also witnessed appreciation and went up by Rs2.36 to close at Rs300.43 against Rs 298.07 last day, according to SBP.

The Japanese Yen went up by 02 paisa to settle at Rs 1.88, whereas the British Pound went up by 74 paisa and close at Rs 344.74 against Rs343 on Wednesday.

The exchange rates of the Saudi Riyal and the Emirates Dirham also went up by 21 paisa each to close at Rs 75.55 and Rs 77.16 respectively.
