GENEVA: The World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesu warned on Wednesday that the situation in the Gaza Strip was getting out of control, following a blast at a hospital that killed hundreds of individuals.
Ghebreyesus said on X formerly Twitter, the situation in Gaza is spiralling out of control and we need violence on all sides to be stopped.
He said that every second we wait to get medical aid in, we lose lives. He stressed the immediate necessity for access to deliver life-saving supplies.
A blast ripped through a Gaza hospital killing hundreds of people on late Tuesday.
Health ministry in the Gaza Strip confirmed that at least 500 innocent Palestinian civilians, including women and children, were martyred in a brutal Israeli airstrike on al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza.
The Israeli Defense Forces blamed Palestinians saying an outgoing Islamic Jihad rocket misfired.
Neither account could be independently corroborated.
