ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Babar Awan has claimed that former prime minister Imran Khan was shot and hit by an AK-47 bullet.
During the hearing of a case in an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad in connection with the violation of Section 144 in Islamabad and the alleged interference in government affairs,
Babar Awan told the court that PTI leaders were accused of blocking the road, raising slogans against the government and damaging public property, spreading fear with sticks and slogans.
He contended asked which government vehicle was damaged? It was not written in the case registered against the PTI leaders. He said that the PTI leaders were only booked for standing on the road.
Babar Awan said that Imran Khan was hit by AK-47 but and Moazzam was hit by 9 mm bullet.
Later, talking to the media outside the court, Babar Awan said that people were asking that 5,000 people should be killed.
“Do we have any interest that the police came to our homes. What was sent to Azam Swati’s daughter, all know it. Our granddaughters and sons are forced to leave the country but the FIA says that the video was fake. The FIA should not play with the fire.
