DERA ISMAIL KHAN: In a series of successful operations, district police have made significant seizures, including a non-custom paid (NCP) car and various items, with an estimated total worth of Rs 3.7 million. The operations took place within the jurisdictions of Daraban, Dera Town, and Yarik police stations on a recent Sunday.
Under the directives of Regional Police Officer Nasir Mehmood Satti and District Police Officer Dera Abdul Rauf Babar Qaisrani, a dedicated police team, led by SDPO Saddar Circle Saleem Baloch and SHO Faheem Abbas, intercepted an NCP car on Maddi Kulachi road, within the limits of Dera Town police station. The car was seized during a routine snap-checking operation conducted by the police team, and its non-custom paid status was confirmed. The driver of the car, identified as Gul Muhammad from Zafarabad Colony, was promptly arrested. The estimated value of the confiscated car is approximately Rs 2.5 million.
Following the seizure, the police handed over the NCP car to customs authorities for further legal action, ensuring adherence to the established procedures.
In a separate operation, the Yarik police recovered NCP items with a total value of 8 lakh rupees. SDPO Saddar Circle Muhammad Saleem Baloch, accompanied by the Special Task Team, conducted thorough checks at Yarik Toll Plaza within the jurisdiction of the Yarik police station. During the operation, the police seized NCP goods valued at 8 lakhs of rupees from various vehicles. These illicit items included 30 bags of dry milk, 03 bags of soap, 07 bags of Irani Shopper, 48 boxes of Iranian cheese, and 03 cartons of toffees. In accordance with the regulations, the police promptly handed over the confiscated items to customs authorities.
Meanwhile, in another successful operation led by SDPO Daraban Circle Malik Anees Al Hasan and SHO Daraban Attaullah Khan, the police seized 08 sacks of Irani dry milk, 04 bags of Irani shopper, 05 cartons of shampoo, and 125 sticks of cigarettes from a vehicle with registration number BSA-728, arriving from Quetta. The total value of the seized NCP goods exceeded 04 lakh rupees. Following the operation, the police transferred the seized goods to customs authorities, ensuring due process in accordance with the law.
These operations reflect the diligent efforts of law enforcement agencies in curbing illegal activities and upholding the rule of law within the region.
