Gwadar’s China exhibition center to open in 2023

ISLAMABAD: Southern China Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center under construction in Gwadar Free Trade Zone will be functional next year, the firm responsible for building the facility said on Tuesday.

Major business shows are anticipated at the facility to promote commerce.

According to a representative of the building firm, CCCC-FHDI Engineering CO.LTD, “The center’s main structure was successfully capped recently.” The infrastructure may become operational by the beginning of 2023 thanks to this work. The project, according to the details, comprises an exposition hall, commercial area, conference rooms, sports area, office, dormitories, etc., totaling roughly 2,000 square meters.

As soon as it is ready, the center will display Chinese and Pakistani goods to both domestic and foreign tourists. According to the builder, the first floor is intended for product displays and may also serve as a meeting space for up to 500 people. It may also be used as a sports arena to hold significant cultural and athletic events.

A spokeswoman for CCCC-FHDI Engineering CO., LTD. stated, “We will work hard and make relentless efforts to build the project into a hub for exhibition and sales, commerce, and logistics in Gwadar.”
