ISLAMABAD: Twenty passengers including women and children were burnt to death in a terrible accident on a bus coming from Karachi to Islamabad.
The cause of the death is the presence of diesel drums in the pickup that was struck by the bus resulting in diesel drums catching fire.
According to details 20 dead bodies have been recovered while 15 are with severe burn injuries.

The hospitals have been informed and the injured have been sent to burn units of hospitals in Pindi Bhattian and Faisalabad hospitals for immediate medical assistance.
He stated the fatalities could be more as the injured are in critical condition.
Describing the cause of the accident, the DPO stated that diesel drums were kept in the pick-up and in the collision, the diesel caught fire and engulfed the two vehicles.
“There was no chance for the passengers to get out as the intensity of the flames was too high and the fire was everywhere,” said one of the survivors adding,” There were around 40 passengers in the bus.”
Earlier, DSP Ehsan Zafar confirmed the death toll in the accident and stated that more than 20 people died in the accident that took place near Pindi Bhattian on the Faisalabad highway, while there is a fear that the death toll could be high.
Police in their report have mentioned 4:00 am as the accident time when the two collided with the cause presence of diesel drums in the pickup.
