MULTAN: Punjab’s Multan Division has so far served more than 41,000 notices over violations of anti-dengue standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the division.
Within a single day, 52 notices were dispensed in the Multan division, leading to the closure of a hotel due to the discovery of dengue larvae.
Engineer Amir Khattak, the Commissioner of Multan Division, has directed the intensification of anti-dengue surveillance. He emphasized the importance of preventing the accumulation of water in any location to ensure a dry and sanitary environment, thus curbing the spread of dengue.
Action Against Anti-Dengue SOPs Violations
The Commissioner assured that maintaining a clean and dry environment would contribute significantly to keeping the division dengue-free. He appealed to citizens to play their part by upholding cleanliness and dryness in their surroundings. The collective cooperation of all citizens, he stressed, is vital in the eradication of dengue.
Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman, the designated focal person for the anti-dengue campaign, revealed that a total of 4,817 FIRs (First Information Reports) had been filed, 1,693 sites sealed, and 102 offenders apprehended thus far throughout the division.
