ISLAMABAD: At least two persons were killed and several others injured in a blast at a police station in Indonesia‘s West Java province on Wednesday, according to police officials.

Police spokesperson Ahmad Ramadhan said that the explosion occurred just after a person with a knife entered the police station at about 8:20 am. He said that the explosion source was not immediately clear.

Terrorist organisation behind the blast: police

The deputy police chief said that a terrorist organisation carried out the explosion at a police station in Java.

To crack down on militant groups, Indonesia created a tough new anti-terrorism law in recent years after suicide bombings linked to the Islamic State-inspired Jamaah Ansharut Daulah.
