RIYADH: It is never too late and Nawda Al-Qahtani from Saudi Arabia at 110 years of age has proven herself to be the oldest student in the world in joining the school.
With the help of Al-Rahwa Center in the Umwah, she is learning each day and is excited as every day is a new day.
She is a mother of four and her eldest son is 80 with the youngest in his 40s. Her 60-year-old son takes her to school and waits outside till she finishes her class.
She is learning to read and write and the experience has completely changed her approach towards life. She wants everyone to take up education with all praise for the Saudi government that is trying to eliminate illiteracy in the country.
Living in a remote village, her regret is that she should have started earlier but it is never too late and it is blessing from divine that she is learning now.
Saudi Ministry of Education shared the details of the distinguished student on X where her aspiration to eradicate illiteracy from the country was shared.
