ISLAMABAD: As California cleans up from a series of catastrophic and deadly series of storms, the White House announced that US President Joe Biden would be visiting the country’s most populous state on Thursday.
Monday’s statement by the White House mentioned that the US president will visit communities hit by the storms.

Biden would review the recovery efforts to assess what type of additional federal support is needed.
At least 20 people have died as nine successive storms in three weeks’ time barreled from the Pacific Ocean into California and other western regions.
Over the weekend the US President said the situation in California could be classified as a major disaster.
Thereby paving the way for the federal government to speed up aid, which include help with repairs and temporary housing.
The total damage due to the series of storms is estimated to be above $1 billion.
