WASHINGTON: US Navy vessels operating in the Middle East are undergoing extensive resupply operations involving fuel, food, ammunition, and other essential provisions, amid heightened regional tensions, according to the US military’s regional command responsible for operations linked to Iran.
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that naval assets deployed in the region are being actively restocked to sustain ongoing operational readiness.
The command also released images on social media showing logistical support activities, including the transfer of supplies onto the guided-missile destroyer USS Delbert D. Black.

CENTCOM stated that the USS Delbert D. Black is currently operating in support of the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, which remains deployed in the region as part of broader US military posture amid escalating security concerns.
The replenishment effort includes the delivery of fuel, food supplies, munitions, and other critical materials necessary for sustained naval operations.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth informed the US Senate earlier this week that the ongoing Iran-related conflict has so far incurred an estimated cost of approximately $25 billion for the US military.
However, independent assessments suggest that the overall expenditure could be significantly higher, reflecting the scale and intensity of continued operations in the region.
The developments come at a time of sustained geopolitical tension, with US naval forces maintaining a visible and active presence across key maritime routes in the Middle East.
Military analysts view the replenishment efforts as part of routine but strategically important logistics operations to ensure fleet readiness during an uncertain security environment.
