WASHINGTON: The US House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy said on Thursday that the Congress should probe into President Biden’s alleged mishandling of sensitive documents after the discovery of classified materials.

Kevin McCarthy told the media persons that he sees it could go from the committee but Congress has to probe into it. The House speaker said that there is no need of special prosecutor, but the Congress has a role to see the matter. Kevin McCarthy said that there is no difference in the case of President Biden and former President Donald Trump.
On Monday, US press reported that President Biden’s personal counsellors discovered ten classified documents pertaining to Iran, Ukraine, and the UK at a Biden think-tank office, triggering an investigation into the issue.
Joe Biden’s several aides from his vice presidency have been interviewed by US authorities in connection to the ongoing classified documents, US media reported.
Earlier the US President confirmed that his attorneys found a “small number” of classified documents at his home in Wilmington, Delaware.
