ISLAMABAD: On Monday White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan asserted that by sending drones to Russia, Iran could be contributing to war crimes.
During US President Joe Biden’s visit to Mexico, Sullivan while speaking to reporters stated that in Ukraine Iran’s weapons are “killing civilians”, and effectively “plunging into cold and darkness. In light of this, for the White House, these actions point to a contribution to war crimes.
Washington warns Iran about sending drones to Russia
Recently, Washington slapped sanctions on individuals and companies the US has accused of transferring or producing Iran’s drones to Russia. The drones, according to the US, are being used in Ukraine to kill civilians.

In the preceding week, the White House disclosed that US was looking into ways to use sanctions and control exports in order to limit Iran’s manufacture of unmanned weaponized aircraft.
