RIYADH: The UN Security Council will hold an open debate on Wednesday over the situation in Palestine and the middle east, Palestine’s permanent observer to the UN Riyad Mansour said on Tuesday.

According to the Arab media, Mansour said that the international community should press Israel to end illegal measures against Palestinians.
More than 90 nations expressed their deep concern about Israel’s punitive actions, after a United Nations appeal for an advisory opinion by the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

Media reports said that the UN Security Council will discuss the situation in the middle east with a special focus on Palestine.
