ISLAMABAD: United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees organized an art exhibition to mark 16 days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence on Thursday in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad.
UN and diplomats organize Art Exhibition
The event displayed refugee-made products supporting refugees, however, the exhibition focused on ending gender-based violence against forcibly displaced and stateless women and girls.
The event aimed at entertaining through a cultural experience and supporting the refugee business. Diplomats from various embassies, Heads of United Nation Agencies, and government officials also visited the Bazaar and lauded the work of refugees.
The display carried handmade decoration pieces, jewelry, interior decors, gift items and garments made by the refugees. – APP
