KYIV: While thanking Germany for new defense decisions taken at the start of this year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday said he and the German president had discussed the necessity of increasing defense support for Ukraine.
“Thank you for the comprehensive aid – that enabled our army to become stronger – for the financial support,”.

Following a video call with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Zelensky wrote on the Telegram messaging app, “During the online meeting we discussed the situation on the frontline with Russia, the necessity of enhancing defense support for Ukraine, and the diplomatic process on the implementation of the Peace Formula for Ukraine.”
