LONDON: The United Kingdom (UK) government said on Wednesday it had agreed to deepen its collaboration with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on diversifying critical minerals’ sources.
The business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy department of Britain said the collaboration could see Saudi investment in the United Kingdom’s manufacturing and mining finance sectors and new opportunities for UK mining companies to do business in Saudi Arabia.
UK’s key mineral supply chains
The British government said it was also crucial “in ensuring the UK’s key mineral supply chains are not overly reliant on any one country, with supplies currently dominated by China.”
