UAE President Visits Ethiopia

DUBAI: The United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has reached Addis Ababa on Friday for an official visit to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Upon his arrival at the country’s capital, Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed received him at the Bole Addis Ababa International Airport.

The purpose of President Nahyan’s visit is to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, aimed at supporting the development and prosperity of both nations.

During the visit, the UAE President and his accompanying delegation will engage in a series of discussions with Ethiopian counterparts to explore collaboration opportunities in sectors such as food security, trade, energy, investment, technology, and agriculture.

UAE President Warm Reception

Upon landing in Addis Ababa, an official reception ceremony was held in honor of Sheikh Mohamed. It featured the national anthems of both the UAE and Ethiopia, accompanied by a salute of 21 artillery rounds as a mark of respect for his visit.

Earlier, a group of Ethiopian celebratory warplanes welcomed the UAE President as his aircraft entered Ethiopian airspace.

The UAE President is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court, and other officials from key ministries.
