BERLIN: At least two people have been killed in a knife attack on a passenger train in northern Germany, according to media reports.
A man stabbed several people on board a passenger train travelling from Kiel to Hamburg, German news agency dpa reported.
The attack happened shortly before the train arrived at Brokstedt station in northern Germany.
Attack in Germany took place days after California shooting
The attack took place days after a mass shooting incident in Monterey Park, California, United States (US). The gunman shot dead eleven people and critically injured nine others. The shooting occurred at about 10:22 p.m. PST at Star Ballroom Dance Studio, after an earlier all-day Lunar New Year Festival was held on a nearby street.
