GAZA CITY: At least 10 people, including a toddler, were killed in separate Israeli strikes in northern Gaza, the territory’s civil defence agency said on Tuesday, highlighting continued violence despite an ongoing ceasefire.

According to civil defence spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal, four people lost their lives when a police vehicle was targeted in Gaza City, with several others injured in the attack.

Among the victims was three-year-old Yahya al-Mallahi. The bodies of those killed were received by Al-Shifa hospital, officials confirmed.

In a separate incident earlier in the day, one person was killed in the Beit Lahia area in northern Gaza. The Israeli military said its forces had identified an “armed terrorist” approaching their position and carried out a strike, though it was unclear if this referred to the same event.

Later in the evening, another strike near an intersection in the Al-Shati refugee camp resulted in multiple casualties.

Al-Shifa hospital reported receiving five bodies following an Israeli drone strike targeting a group of civilians near generator warehouses.

The Israeli military said it was reviewing details of the incidents and did not immediately comment on the later strike.

Violence has persisted despite a ceasefire that began on October 10. Gaza’s health ministry says at least 757 people have been killed since the truce began.
