ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Wednesday the federal government was trying to bring the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to the negotiation table but on the condition to lay down arms and accept the Constitution of the country.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, the interior minister said the National Security Committee (NSC) decided to observe zero-tolerance against terrorism, and the implementation of the decisions taken in the meeting would be visible in the coming days.
The minister said the presence of the banned outfit in Afghanistan was a reality. At the same time, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of all the provinces would be provided all-out support by the federation.
