PESHAWAR: At least seven people were killed, and five others sustained injuries in a road accident on Monday in the Kohat district of Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a rescue official said.
According to the rescue official, a passenger van collided with a truck in Kohat district’s Darra Adam Khel area.
Rescue and police teams rushed to the site and transferred the dead bodies and injured to the nearby hospital.

Doctors at the hospital feared that the death toll might further increase because at least two persons among the injured were in critical condition.
Police told local media that the accident occurred due to over speeding by the two vehicles.
The identity of the injured and deceased passengers is verified.
