ANKARA: At least seven people, including three children, were killed in a gas blast at a restaurant in the western Turkish province of Aydin on Friday, local officials said.
Television images showed the burnt remains of the two-story restaurant’s building, which had its doors and windows blown off by the blast.

The Aydin province’s governor said the explosion went off in the kitchen, where the restaurant’s workers were switching one of the gas canisters used for fuelling the stove.
Local media reports said that four people were shifted to the hospital, with two of the survivors jumping out of the second-floor window to escape the blaze.
