PESHAWAR: Tourism Promotion Services Ltd. Pakistan, the owner company of Serena Hotels in the country announced the takeover of Pear Continental (PC) Hotel Peshawar on Tuesday.
After the takeover, it will be the 9th property of Serena Hotel in Pakistan.
Tourism Promotion Services Ltd. said in a statement that the addition of Serena Hotels in Peshawar, the oldest city with a rich cultural heritage, will help in extending the tourist circuit in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province as well as allow regional connectivity for business travelers and tourists through its vast portfolio of hotels in Kabul, Dushanbe, and Islamabad.

New Serena Hotel to serve as gateway to Central Asia
It said that the hotel will serve as a gateway to Central Asia. Serena Hotels, a brand having grand hotels in unique destinations worldwide, will be refurbishing and renovating the hotel building as per its own standards.
“To continue our legacy of benefitting the communities where we operate and giving back to society, the company will exploit the rich but untapped potential in the tourism sector of the province”, the statement said.
This will be the second hotel of the Serena chain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the Swat Serena Hotel.

The new construction in and the upgradation of the building will further improve the comfort level and quality of the guest rooms, meeting rooms, restaurants, banqueting, public areas and Maisha Spa & Health Club.
The prominent hotel chain currently exists in Islamabad, Gilgit, Faisalabad, Sost, Shigar, Hunza, Altit, Khaplu, and Quetta.
Moreover, two new hotels are under-construction in Gilgit Baltistan. The Hunza Serena Hotel with eighty-five rooms, expected to be opened towards the end of 2023 while the hotel in Sost with fifty-six rooms expected to be opened in 2024. –APP
