RAWALPINDI: A fire exchange took place between terrorists and security forces in the Esham area in the North Waziristan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, the army’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said on Friday.
During the intense exchange of fire, two terrorists were killed, and weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the dead terrorists, according to the ISPR.
Terrorists were involved in activities against security forces
The ISPR said that the militants had been actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.
“The incident re-vindicates Pakistan army’s resolve to have zero tolerance for terrorism in Pakistan and reaffirms its determination to take on all entities that resort to violence,” the ISPR said.
